Customer Reviews about Allstate Insurance Agent: The O'Donohoe Agency LLC
- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I have been AllState quite for a while and felt that AllState really good taking care people per their slogan " You are in good hand". Irony is, I feel like I am in "bad hand" at least my adjusting AllState employee felt me like that. Recently, my home was damaged due to catastrophic failure of the water tank at attic which damaged ceilings, walls as water gushed down from the celling. As I was outside of the town, my wife dealt with the event with panic while securing our two children. Fire Department came to help and they used all of our towels and few bed sheets to sponge the floor and walk over it. During the claim filing, initially everything was smooth with caring voice that everything would be taken care of; but the real picture surfaced very soon. First the repair part came as a bandage approach like spot fixing as a measure of cost savings. While I asked if AllState will reimburse for the wet mattress, I was denied as the paid AllState field adjuster took and sent picture after the mattress was dried off with their heater claiming it was not damaged. I was asking if AllState could reimburse for the damaged clothes. The adjuster responded " The bed sheets and the towels should be able to be washed and cleaned. Please let us know how many loads of laundry that will need to be done in order to wash the items." So, looks like I am eligible for one load of laundry for the items we threw, which may be $1. Is not it insane or lack of commonsense ? AllState is denying coverage for household items which may be less than $300 although I am paying for a coverage with additional living expense coverage of $22,000. So, turned out that for household items, I may be eligible for $1 per the adjuster. I thought people should know this lack of civic sense. I also asked if I am eligible for food as my home is inhabitable. The same agent replied, well, your wife can cook at hotel or we can reimburse may be $20 a day for 3 person. Again, lack of morality. I am asking can an AllState employee with 2 children can dine with $20 a day? Check how much per diem AllState provides to employee or what is the national standard. It is over $150 a day per person. I was honest as I told, may be it is $50-$60 daily for the family. So, this is my experience with AllState, part of a system wide problem in the insurance business.November 26, 2016by Himangshu Das
